5 tools you won’t believe you were homeschooling without!

Homeschooling is an art form, a type of self-exploratory activity that requires copious amounts of diversified efforts, made both by the educator and the student. With a few years of experiencing homeschooling firsthand, the realization of how vast the virtual education network is had boggled my mind.

There is a hoard of information out there; from thousands of technological online resources to hundreds of edtech companies such as kidescience.com, villagesquare.io, or codespark.com — all introducing novel ways of directing a boundless, flexible homeschooling agenda. To magnify the countless benefits reaped from such platforms, I identified a list of a few additional valuable tools here — ones that I feel offer great value, but are not so well-known. .

An inspiring idea focused on curating teachers with a thought process that supersedes limitations. Teach Thought is an avenue for an approved reading list sorted by grade level. A product by Amazon, Audible is the gold mine to online stories. The application opens up the doors to thousands of tales, stories that are portrayed to enable minds to explore deeper the depths of their cognate abilities. Considering the situation with Covid19, Audible is a free source to a thought provoking, engaging and knowledgeable library, available on your screens at the click of a button.

It utilizes the abilities of creators from universities such as MIT, Caltech, Duke, the University of Chicago, and more to create courses in STEM that are challenging and invigorating all at the same time. Brilliant is working on the principles of openness, wonder, and exploration to light a fire in the minds of children with respect to education.

We have so many unearthed options at our disposal in order to enhance the homeschooling experience we provide our kids. It’s time to get our hands dirty and dig them out. Happy learning!
